Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport Review: Test Drive and Findings

Subaru Impreza and I combined forces to test Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport in readiness for this review. If you belong to the group of consumers who have to test almost everything before parting with their hard-earned money, then this section got you covered.

Below is an account of the tire’s performance across various platforms.

tire dry conditions

Dry

I got the chance to test the tires both on the highway and off-road. The traction on both conditions was very good. The handling and stability of the vehicle were great, and the tires were responsive to the steering.

The cornering experience was fantastic, and the braking distance was shorter than most tires in its class. Overall, Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport’s performance on dry conditions is impressive.

tire wet conditions

Wet

Cruising through the rain and running water on the highway came with much ease. The water underneath was not troublesome as you would expect them to create a drag on the tires. I could barely feel any struggle on the wheels.

The only occasion I lost grip was when I veered off the road to avoid hitting another car that was trying to overtake. However, the wheels regained their bite on the surface almost immediately.

tire snow conditions

Snow

This is the surface I was eager to test the tires on. In fact, I was willing to let go of all the other surfaces but not this one, and the reason is that it is rare to find an all-seasons tire survives the snow. Well, Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport did not disappoint.

While I couldn’t rate it at the same level as its sister tire BFGoodrich Winter Slalom KSI or any other winter-specific tire, it leads the rest of the all-season tires in snow performance.

tire comfort

Comfort

Pairing a vehicle with great tires is the secret to an extra comfort in your rides. Subaru Impreza is built to impress through immense pleasure. Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport adds fun on top of performance.

I found my rides comfortable, and that is the reason I have something positive to write about the tires on this subject.

tire noise

Noise

It was all quite driving on the tires both off-road and the highway but on low to moderate speeds. However, when I pressed the throttle harder, the humming on the highway could be noticed.

But still, the noise is not anywhere near a bird’s chirping so you can still put up with it.

tread wear

Tread Wear

I have done more than 1500 miles with a set of Bf Goodrich Advantage TA Sport on the Subaru Impreza, and they are yet to give in to my punishing driving. The sidewalls are still intact and the treads still fresh. Depending on the speed rating, the tire can go up to 70,000 miles.
