The all-season tire is designed with qualities to sustain punishments from hard drives and to deliver on both workload and standard applications. Yet that is just a sneak preview of why your SUV and truck needs these tires.

Kumho Crugen HT51 Features You Should Know

Kumho Crugen HT51 designed with a sturdy center block for optimal straight-line performance. On the road, every driver, including me, would wish for a responsive control that connects the wheels and the steering. This is possible with Kumho Crugen HT51’s stiff block design.

On top of enhancing responsiveness, you get improved traction on both the wet and the dry roads. The tread design is asymmetrical and combined with a block layout geometric touch. Well, this what makes Kumho Crugen HT51 have a long-lasting tread life in relation to other tires.

The manufacturer has mastered an art of tread design while retaining grip and traction on the road. The quartet zigzag circumferential grooves provide better performance on wet conditions. This means you can comfortably control your car even on snow surfaces.

The sidewall engineering of the tire is another feature worth mentioning for it makes the tire appear energetic and dynamic. Having been released in 2015, it has generated more revenue than any other make from Kumho, which goes to show its clout and favor from consumers.

The tire is manufactured in South Korea, USA, and Vietnam and distributed through various dealers.

Kumho Crugen HT51: Test Drive And Findings

I have said quite a lot about Kumho Crugen HT51. Now let me take you through how it responds and behaves in real life having had as solid experience using the tires. My pick for the test was my spouse’s Chevrolet Silverado.

I couldn’t have settled for any other automobile. I am in love with the brand, and I happen to know this baby in and out through experience!

tire dry conditions

Dry

I tried the tires on a dry road. I could feel the response from the wheels. Although I was composed even at high speeds, I felt the grip was not at its peak. It takes an experienced driver who has tried different tires to notice the traction deficit of Kumho Crugen HT51 on dry roads, which means it, is still a better tire for such conditions.

Did I tell you it is built for the highway? Well, it is fantastic on the highways; the traction and everything.

tire wet conditions

Wet

At 80 mph on a wet highway, I found the tires to be good enough. The brakes still performed optimally. The calmness in my truck was magnificent. Not even the rains accompanied by strong winds could unsettle the vehicle.

The 3D tread engineering behind the tires is the reason for that calmness. Well, I know you are like, hey buddy, we now know the tires at 80mph, what about at 120 mph.

Perhaps you should try that yourself-kidding. Wet surfaces and high speeds do not tango. It loses traction and grip.

tire snow conditions

Snow

I am used to snow, and anyone who lives in Indiana will tell you it is a common thing over here. I have had to drive through snow carpets countless times using different tires, and I can tell you Kumho Crugen HT51 is not an A tire on snow but somewhere near.

Yes, the tires are good enough for snow. Get me right, light snows. If you live in Tundra regions, look for tires built for that purpose.

tire comfort

Comfort

Tire deserves a clean A on comfort. Kumho Crugen made potholes appear as if they did not exist. They highways gave the best experience of comfort. A journey through the rough terrains became enjoyable with reduced shakes and tremors.

The tire can even withstand a lake-size pothole to make you happy. But do not go driving in gullies to prove me wrong; they are just tires and not break downs.

tire noise

Noise

Kumho Crugen strangles road noise. You will struggle to get road sounds on a cool day on the highway. Rough terrains that you would expect an earmuff on high speeds while driving are surprisingly tolerably noisy.

You can comfortably enjoy a conversation with your girlfriend with no struggle or listen to your favorite hits if you are a roman priest.

tread wear

Tread Wear

The Kumho tires on my test car were not brand new at the time of testing but the treads were still fresh. They were four months old to be precise which affirms to Kumho’s strive for tread life longevity.

Kumho Crugen HT51 Review Conclusion

Kumho Crugen HT51 deserves attention on highway rides where it gives the best performance through its straight-line design. I would recommend it for SUVs and pickup trucks. As an all-season tire, it serves you throughout the year; hence, you won’t need to worry.

However, it is not the best for snow though it can still push you to your destination. If you love comfort in your rides, then the tire is meant for you. On price, I would say the tire is affordable given the miles of tread life it promises. From our deep Kumho Crugen HT51 review, we hope to see your car donning the tire.
